Podcast hosted by Jordan B Peterson.
About: The Jordan B Peterson Podcast features audio versions of some of the most popular and compelling of Dr. Peterson’s YouTube videos, interviews with some of the world’s most compelling thinkers, lectures from the 12 Rules for Life tour unavailable anywhere else, as well as an assortment of audience Q and A’s (a particularly popular feature). We hope to include a wider assortment of great scientists, in particular, in the upcoming year.
Philosophical and psychological topics include: the relationship between science and religion, values and perception; the interplay between motivation, emotion and cognition; the nature of human personality, from a biological and sociocultural perspective (including discussion of the standard personality model, the Big Five, and the differences between the temperament and interests of men and women stemming from use of that model); and the role of fundamental rights (such as that of free speech and untrammeled discourse) in stabilizing and regulating the economic and political worlds.
Dr. Peterson concentrates primarily on the role of the individual, and the responsibilities that accompany mature individuality, assuming that productive, engaging, peaceful and otherwise highly functional social systems depend on the idea of the sovereign person, and the burden and opportunity of adventure, vision and destiny that accompany that idea.
